Carli Davis
is a functional sports dietitian specializing in helping active individuals optimize their fueling strategies for both performance and daily life, prevent relative energy deficiency in sport (REDs), and maintain long-term health—without reliance on restrictive diets or unproven trends. A lifelong runner and former collegiate athlete, she has a particular expertise in working with endurance athletes, while also supporting anyone seeking to improve their health, energy, and performance.
Carli began her career in clinical nutrition in 2017 as a member of the nutrition support team at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where she worked extensively with patients in critical care and those undergoing complex medical treatments. In 2021, she transitioned into preventive healthcare at the Cooper Clinic in Dallas, gaining further experience in performance and preventive nutrition. In 2024, after relocating to Austin, she launched her private practice, Carli Run Nutrition, to provide individualized, evidence-based nutrition care focused on those who are lifelong athletes or those simply wanting to improve both length and quality of life.
Her approach is integrative and personalized—utilizing functional lab testing and in-depth assessments to address the root causes of health and performance concerns, especially when traditional evaluations suggest “normal” results despite persistent symptoms.
Carli’s mission is to help individuals avoid the health and performance setbacks of under fueling and return to a state where strength, endurance, hormonal balance, and daily energy are aligned. She values a collaborative approach, frequently working alongside physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure her clients receive comprehensive, coordinated care.
